Privacy Policy

Unroomies is built by . This policy explains what the app stores, what it never stores, and what your partner can and cannot see. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
The short version
- Your quiz answers stay on your phone. They are never uploaded and your partner never sees them.
- You do not create an account, and we never ask for your name, your partner's name, or your email.
- Nothing you write or record in the app is shared unless you tap a share button yourself.
- We do not sell data, we do not run advertising networks, and we do not track you across other apps.
What stays on your device
These never leave your phone unless you tap a share button yourself:
- Your eighteen quiz answers and the pattern they produced.
- Which nights you completed, and when.
- Your Sunday check answers and the sentence they produced.
- Your date plans and the choices behind them.
- Your settings: reminder time, solo or paired, and a partner's first name if you enter one.
Deleting the app deletes all of it. Settings also has a Delete everything button that wipes it immediately, without needing to uninstall.
What is sent off the device
An anonymous account identifier. The app signs in anonymously through Firebase Authentication so it can hold your purchase. This identifier is a random string. It is not tied to your name, your email or your phone number.
Purchase records. When you buy a subscription, Apple or Google process the payment and RevenueCat records that a purchase exists so the app can unlock on your devices. We never see your card details.
Anonymous usage events. Firebase Analytics records events such as the app being opened, the quiz being finished, or a night being completed. These carry the pattern name and day number, never your answers and never anything you typed.
Crash reports. If the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics sends a technical report so the crash can be fixed. It contains device and code information, not your content.
What your partner sees
If you and your partner both use the app, they can see that a night was completed and where you both are in the thirty days. They cannot see your quiz answers, your Sunday check answers, or your movement sentence. That is a deliberate design rule, not a setting.
Unlinking removes the shared record from both phones immediately.
Notifications
The app schedules reminders on your device at the time you choose. They are generated locally, are never sent from a server, and never report one partner's activity to the other.
Children
Unroomies is for adults in long-term relationships and is not directed at anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your choices
- Delete everything. In Settings. It is immediate and irreversible.
- Turn off analytics. Disable it in your device's system settings for the app.
Service providers
We use Google Firebase for anonymous sign-in, analytics and crash reporting, and RevenueCat for purchases. Payments are handled by Apple and Google. Each has its own privacy policy.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected, the app will say so before the change takes effect.
